In the author’s account, Dipl. Ing. Friedrich Dechant is the last surviving member of the original trio of “Glock men” behind the legendary polymer pistol. The other two were Mr Hierschreiter, a metalworking expert, and Gaston Glock, whose focus was business and polymers.

Friedrich Dechant retired as a major general in the Austrian Bundesheer. He remains active in the field of firearms and ammunition, and the author introduces him as an enthusiastic partner in this new book.

A first-hand participant’s memories, notes and vision meet Anton Kuchyňka’s photographic perspective. The cover presents 300 rare, previously unpublished photographs, including the first published photographs of the legendary pistol’s prototypes.
